Apparently a group of dedicated artists and artisans have been working on it for years and years - all in secret as they had no digging permits - and then one day the Italian cops showed up demanding to see what was going on. I don't know what the legal status of the temples is, but I hope they are allowed to keep them - its an awe-inspiring amount of work they put into this thing. At least, until the undead overlord moves in and crushes humanity in a vice-like grip of terror. Yeah, someone sent out a news story about this.
